Starting June this year Patricia has been in Ghana for 3 months working as a volunteer in Tamale. The task was teaching English and Math to disabled women and their children. The little school is a small buiding at a streetcorner on a busy road crossing. The traffic noise is enormous due the lack of insulation so the teaching is difficult by times. When raining the water comes through the roof. There are very little teaching materials so the volunteers have to rely on their creative skills and imagination. In spite of all shortcomings the enthusiasm. of the woman and children compensates for all that. And it is very satisfying to see the results after only three months.
